What Exactly is FLOAT?
Short answer, FLOAT is a convention for balloon decorators that takes place every two years here in the United States.

FLOAT is more than just another convention. It's one specifically aimed at career-minded professionals who aren't looking for a "side hustle" in their day to day. The niche of the balloon decorator is very small indeed, and it's challenging for people in our daily lives to understand both the nuances of our particular industry along with the day-to-day grind of operating a small business. The term "balloon art" at one point was laughable in the early 90s, but no one is laughing now! Once the "ugly stepchild of the event world" balloons have grown in acceptance both as a style choice and as an art choice. FLOAT pushes the boundaries with our design competitions to show the world that balloons have their rightful place in the expressionistic world of creativity and imagination.

FLOAT has been around for over a decade now, and we've experienced ample growth with each new convention. One of the reasons for this continued growth is because we strive to feature quality instructors who are experts in their field and we encourage them to teach subjects they are the most passionate about.
